This summer, The Barcelona EDITION is host to the one of the most beloved eateries in the city, Bar Alegria. Celebrating 120 years of tradition, the legendary tapas bar by Catalan restaurateur Tomás Abellán takes on a new location on the terrace of the hotel’s market cuisine restaurant Bar Veraz. The ephemeral culinary partnership brings the bar’s cheerful and welcoming atmosphere from the Sant Antoni neighborhood to El Born for the first time in a new space for al-fresco dining from June until the end of September 2022.
Offering a selection of Bar Alegria’s traditional tapas and signature dishes to share, the menu is executed by Head Chef Pedro Tassarolo’s kitchen and features Tomás Abellan’s unmistakable touch. As the son of Carlos Abellán, who is part of the generation of great Catalan chefs, Tomás Abellán comes from a family of outstanding culinary tradition.
