From April 21 to June 15, The Madrid EDITION presents ORIGEN, a photography exhibition by international cultural photographer Anya Bartels-Suermondt, on view in the Pre-Function space next to the Lobby Bar. Curated by Itziar MoltĂł, the exhibition explores the beauty of roots and the cultural diversity that unites us.
Through an intimate and committed lens, the artist reflects on her journey—from arriving in Madrid in 1995 for a sabbatical year to becoming a key figure in documenting Spain’s cultural heritage. Her work captures the spirit of bullfighting, flamenco, music, and architecture, offering a sensitive portrayal of the traditions that shape the country’s identity.
ORIGEN invites guests and visitors to discover an authentic vision of Spain’s cultural soul, seen through the eyes of an artist who now calls Madrid home.
