Celebrate this festive season at The Madrid EDITION.

On the iconic spiral staircase of the hotel’s main entrance, from November 25 to January 6, we present “The Flight”, an evocative reinterpretation of the classic Christmas tree in collaboration with renowned artist Mercedes Bellido. This sculptural installation, composed of 250 handcrafted white ceramic doves, universal symbols of harmony, peace and love, gracefully ascends the staircase, enveloping the space in a serene, luminous movement that invites reflection and connection.

“The Flight” emerges from the purity of the artisanal process, guided by the pursuit of beauty in its most essential form. Each piece, modeled in white earthenware clay, bears Bellido’s personal imprint, transforming matter into emotion and infusing every dove with a unique soul. Each figure is unrepeatable, like nature itself, a reflection of its spontaneity and of the perfection found within imperfection.

The installation rests upon a metal structure that celebrates the balance between fragility and strength, the earthly and the ethereal, a metaphor for the inner peace and hope that defines this time of year. Like glimmers of white light, Bellido’s doves seem to lift the spirit of those who behold them, inviting one to pause, breathe and contemplate the silent beauty that only art can reveal.
