Nestled in a serene square at the heart of the Spanish capital, and surrounded by historic architecture, The Madrid EDITION is a modern urban resort offering 200 guest rooms and suites, including two penthouses with unparalleled city views. For families and groups of up to 8 guests, we offer 77 interconnected rooms.

The hotel features five exceptional restaurants and bars: Oroya, a Peruvian restaurant by renowned Chef Diego Muñoz with an award-winning cocktail bar and terrace; Scarpetta, a celebrated Italian restaurant; MISTICA at EDITION, a sophisticated nightclub with a curated DJ lineup; Punch Room, an award-winning speakeasy-inspired cocktail bar serving specialty punches; and the Lobby Bar, a welcoming space featuring a pool table and authentic artwork.

Located on the 4th floor of The Madrid EDITION is the hotel’s sanctuary overlooking the hustle and bustle of the city. Here, you will find Oroya, the restaurant helmed by Peruvian Chef Diego Muñoz, its awarded cocktail bar, and The Roof, the unparalleled rooftop terrace, open to residents and local community alike.

In a relaxed, convivial greenhouse-like setting framed by a blackened steel cage clad with climbing plants and coloured glass panels that cast bright patterns across the room, Oroya, the restaurant helmed by Peruvian Chef Diego Muñoz, serves a relaxed menu with family-style sharing plates such as tasteful ceviches, Peruvian-style fried calamari or sweet lucuma desserts, telling the story of Peru’s cultural history with influences from Spain, Africa, Italy, China and Japan. These can be washed down with pisco-led cocktails such like the famous Pisco Sour or a Capitán, signature cocktails or a glass of wine from the perfectly executed drinks menu by expert bartenders, that has led Oroya to win at the Top Cocktail Bars Awards in 2024, for the third consecutive year.

Oroya’s terrace, The Roof, is an outdoor seductive garden in the sky featuring a fireplace and a vine-covered pergola beneath which sits a bleach teak bar and rattan bar stools alongside a long oak table, perfect for the cocktail hour, lazy lunches, intimate candlelit dinners or light bites with friends and family.

For colder and rainy days, the service continues inside at Oroya, offering year-round day and night service for guests and visitors alike.

Under muted lighting, the intimate space unfolds in a rich tapestry of colours and textures, featuring dark oak wall panels, a basalt stone fireplace, grey pony hair Jean-Michel Frank armchairs. These details are further highlighted by a brushed copper bar, and a standout bronze-polished mirror by Paris-based design studio Garnier & Linker, making it the perfect spot for a preprandial cocktail – like the signature Corsair Punch – or a quiet nightcap. Punch Room at The Madrid EDITION re-defines punch for a contemporary experience. Old World elements of whisky and sherry meet New World traditions of pisco, cachaca, and agave spirits. Classic teas and cava mingle with Asiatic flowers and coconut.

A dynamic and sociable space offering a new kind of gathering place for the city’s most discerning residents and visitors, dressed in a mix of custom-made bespoke furnishings – such as the u-shaped sofa with dramatically back-lit shelves – and custom made, bespoke pieces by well-known designers arranged in intimate seating groups. This includes Jean-Michel Frank sofas and armchairs, recycled bronze stools from Maison Intègre, rope-covered chairs by Christian Astuguevieille, and a shapely pool table, which designer Emmanuel Levet Stenne sculpted from a single slab of white Bianco Neve matt marble. Behind the hand-crafted scalloped copper bar is a backlit caged bottle display and, as ever, there is a strong emphasis on warm, indirect lighting, which has been thoughtfully considered to give the room a warmth, softness and approachability while illuminating key pieces under direct spotlight.
